We have an exciting opportunity for two band 7 Birth Centre Coordinator’s to work within our Maternity service. The first post is substantive and the second post is temporary for 12 months to cover maternity leave. We are looking for enthusiastic and transformational midwives to join our senior team.

We are committed to providing safe care and enabling choice for women and families who choose our services.

Chesterfield Birth Centre provides co-located midwife and consultant led labour ward facilities, which include 4 birthing pools. Our maternity inpatient ward offers a calm and welcoming environment for women and their families.

We have established 4 locality bases in the community midwifery service and midwives work with GP attached caseloads from the bases or GP surgeries. This model of care enables the service to offer women increased choice for their community based care.

A Comprehensive induction programme will be provided for successful candidates.

You will need to be a registered midwife with recent labour ward experience. Candidates should demonstrate relevant midwifery experience and clinical competency achievement to meet the requirements of the band 7 job specification.
